Town Hall - Mayor & Council

Mayor Micheal Murphy
Mayor Murphy was re-elected as Mayor in the General Election held 3 November, 2014. He was first elected in the 2009 General Election and re-elected in the 2012 General Election. The Mayor of Alberton is the chief elected official of Alberton. His duties include chairing all regular and special town council meetings, chairing the Economic Development Committee, and sitting on the Finance Committee. The mayor does not vote on motions presented at the town council meetings unless there is a tie.

Councillor Connie Bernard
Councillor Bernard was elected to Town Council in the General Election held 3 November, 2014. This is her first term on Town Council. Councillor Bernard chairs the Recreation Committee and sits on the Fire & Police Committee, the Heritage & Town Expansion Committee, and Economic Development Committee.

Councillor David Cahill
Councillor Cahill was re-elected to Town Council in the General Election held 3 November, 2014. He has served on Town Council for multiple terms including 1988-1990, 1991-1993, 1997-2000, 2001-2003, 2004-2006, 2009-2012 and the 2012-2014 term. Councillor Cahill serves as Deputy Mayor, is chair of the Finance Committee and sits on the Environment and Sewer Utility Committee, Roads, Sidewalks, Streetlights, and Parking Lots Committee, the Recreation Committee, as well as the Economic Development Committee.

Councillor Alan Curtis
Councillor Curtis was elected to Town Council in the General Election held 3 November, 2014. He previously served on Town Council for the 2004-2006, 2007-2009, and 2009-2012 terms. Councillor Curtis chairs the Roads, Sidewalks, Streetlights, and Parking Lots Committee, and sits on the Fire and Police Committee and Economic Development Committee.

Councillor Blair Duggan
Councillor Duggan was re-elected to Town Council in the General Election held 3 November, 2014. He previously served on Town Council for the 2012-2014 term. Councillor Duggan chairs the Environment and Sewer Utility Committee and sits on the Heritage and Town Expansion Committee, the the Roads, Sidewalks, Streetlights, and Parking Lots Committee, and Economic Development Committee.

Councillor Rosetta Tremblay
Councillor Tremblay was elected to Town Council in the General Election held 3 November, 2014. This is her first term on Town Council. Councillor Tremblay is chair of the Fire and Police Committee and sits on the Finance Committee and Economic Development Committee.

Councillor Kelly Williams
Councillor Williams was elected to Town Council in the General Election held 3 November, 2014. This is her first term on Town Council. Councillor Williams is chair of the Heritage and Town Expansion Committee and sits on the Environment and Sewer Utility Committee, the Recreation Committee, and Economic Development Committee.
