Alberton & Area Summer Events & Festivals

Canada Day Festival- This year's Canada Day Festival will take place on Monday July 2nd @ the Save Easy Parking Lot. Events will include popular fishing derby, children's activities, cake cutting, flag raising, O'Canada and many more.

Aquatic Days- This Festival will happen the weekend of July 6th-8th in Northport, this is a great festival to kick start the summer off. Aquatic Days features events such as the Parade of Lights, fireworks, boat races, kids events, adult dance, live entertainment, and much much more. Alb-Kinz Fun Day-Thursday July 12th, is going to be a very exciting day for youth in Alberton as the fund-raiser for the Alberton Library will take place. We will be turning the inside of the JC Arena into the popular children's internet game Webkinz, children will have a chance to play all the games they see on the internet.

Alberton Days-Thursday July 19th is the date slated for Alberton days this year, once again the street will be blocked off and programs and activities will be scheduled for people of all ages. Events will be Miss Alberton Pageant, Pet Show, Live Entertainment, Pony Rides, Water Balloon Dodge Ball and many more.

Alberton Exhibition- Weekend of August 2nd-4th, one of the longest running events in Alberton. This popular exhibition attracts people of all ages with their mid way, animals, talent show, game booths, Strong Man Contest, and new event this summer "West Prince Top Athlete"

Alberton Fire Department Show & Shine- Sunday August 12th, Alberton Elementary School Grounds.


Alberton Minor Ball & Soccer- New deadline is Tuesday June 12th, register at the JC Arena Monday - Friday or mail to PO Box 203 Alberton COB 1B0.

Alberton Summer Youth Camp- We are now accepting names for the Summer Youth Camp ages 6-12 yrs for a full day camp here at the JC Arena. The cost is $50 per week and they will have programs and activities scheduled all day long. Camp starts July 3rd.

Red Cross Swimming Lessons- Starts August 6th. Register @ the Alberton Recreation Office or with Michelle or Karen Milligan. For More info call Jeff @ 853-3383.

Iron Haven Gym-Gym open 7 days a week.
July 14th, Saturday's @ 1:00pm UFC Style Ground Based Fighting. John Wilson 6 weeks session $49.

Kids West-They offer a wide variety of programs for parents and Children such as, Active Parent Now, Kids Have Stress Too, Siblings without Rivalry, Successful Parenting through the toddler years, First Aid CPR, Stepping Out Program, and Daddy Boot Camp. Children Programs are The Best Me I Can BE, Little Chefs, and Sunrise Music. For more information on the programs, please call 853-4066.

Midget Girls Eastern Canadian Fastpitch Championships August 23rd-26th.

Pre Canada Games Female Softball Tournament September 7th-9th.
Both Tournaments will be held at Veterans Memorial Ball Field & Alberton School Field.

Walk To Work Week- Help save our environment by taking part in our Active Transportation Week which will be held from June 11-15. Drop your car off at the Alberton Jacques Cartier Arena and enjoy the sun by walking to work.
