Post-Secondary Education
Holland College has a campus in Alberton located at the corner of Main and Church Streets. Programs offered at this location include Sport and Leisure Management, Welding Level 1, Outdoor Power Equipment, Administrative Assistant, Small Business Management, and Adult Education.
Public Schools
Alberton is serviced by both English language (which also provides French Immersion) and French language schools. For English language students, Alberton Elementary School (located within Alberton) offers grades 1-6 and a publicly funded kindergarten program is ran out of the school as well. For grades 7-9, students are bussed to nearby Merritt E. Callaghan Intermediate School and then to Westisle Composite High School for grades 10-12. Public Library
Alberton Public Library is a full service library with magazines, periodicals, children's section, and fiction and not-fiction books. It also has videos and talking books and anything that is not on site, can be requested. In addition to its large collection the library regularly offers programs for various ages on a variety of topics.
Family Services
Kids West is a non-profit organization that offers family focus programs and services that provide support resources, training and information for parents and their children (ages 0-6 years) in the West Prince Area. All services are free of charge.
